What Is It?
The Alpha Day Away is a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, to get to know the group a little better, to hear talks on the Christian faith and to have some fun. There will be a good amount of down time for games, taking walks around the camp (including a small vineyard!), fishing, volleyball, lounging in Adirondack chairs, or other fun stuff.
When Is It?
The Day Away will be Saturday, November 2. Guests should arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 am on Saturday, and we will heading out by 5:00 pm
Where Is It?
We will be meeting at a camp called Stoney Creek Ranch: 1912 Zimmerscheidt Road
New Ulm, Texas 78950. www.stoneycreekranch.org.
The camp has hiking trails and a small vineyard to explore, soccer fields, a lake for fishing, plenty of space indoors to play games or rest, good trees for your ENO, and other camp things. You can always check out their website at www.stoneycreekranch.org for more info.
What Does It Cost?
The cost is completely up to you. The suggested cost is $50 per person, but choose what is right for you. Money should never be a hindrance on Alpha.
Once you RSVP, you will be sent a confirmation email with additional information including carpool information and a suggested packing list.Estimated Travel Times:Plan for a 90 minute trip from most locations in Houston. Likely, it will take less than 90 minutes but because of recent construction on I-10 the trip could talk a little longer. Google Maps is always a good resource.
