Married Life Prep Winter 2018

Married Life Prep combines Biblical teaching with the best current marriage research. The course, taught at MDPC by Brett and Kellie Hurst of Home Encouragement, is based on The Couple Checkup, a research-based online relationship inventory developed by Dr. David Olson and Dr. Peter Larson of Life Innovations, Inc. It also features the New York Times bestseller The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work by Dr. John M. Gottman, internationally known marriage authority. Time magazine acknowledged Dr. Gottman as a pioneer in his field. Dr. Gottman’s studies are also cited by many prominent Christian marriage experts in America. His research focuses on creating and sustaining happy marriages. With additional sessions related to finances and sex, our classes will teach you how to build your marriage upon a firm foundation.

Couples are invited to join us for this four-week Married Life Prep course. This course is open to all engaged couples and those who are in their first 2-3 years of marriage. The cost to attend is free and if all 8 hours are completed, your marriage license fee will also be waived. We only need ONE registration per couple. We will meet each Sunday from 10:00am - 12:00pm beginning January 7 though January 28, 2018.

Meet in Rooms 171 and 172. The dates for the classes are January 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th.
