Alpha is an 11-week series of interactive sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each week at the Alpha course, people gather to eat, watch a video about the Christian faith and then talk and share about the video. The Table Group Helper helps (of course) the Table Group Host facilitate conversation in their 8- to 12-person group. The Helper remains quiet most of the time, silently praying and observing the group. The Helper may run quick errands to ensure the group runs uninterrupted or may chime in with a question occasionally. The Helper should be skilled and gifted in hospitality, ensuring everyone in the group feels welcomed, comfortable and listened to.
