A court appointed advocate gathers information and is the link between a child and the courts. The advocate works with the child’s caseworker for an average of five hours per week for a year.
Goal is to guide abused children out of the foster care system while identifying their individual needs and ensuring rehabilitative services.
Advocates have a 30-hour training course and must be at least twenty-one years of age.
